Kanehachi, an Izakaya that opened on March 30th, 2016, takes pride in the freshness and volume of their food.
The head chef, Mr.Yoshinobu Yamauchi, who has abundant experience training in the kitchens of Japanese restaurants within Okinawa Prefecture, will carefully cook the ingredients purchased from local regions.
This Izakaya has Japanese-style interior.Photos of the staff dressed up as Geisha dynamically decorate the walls. The store has table seats that seat 8 people, and counter seats that seat 5 people. In the back there are Japanese-style seats that seat 10 adults.
One of the major appeals of the izakaya is its rich menu. In addition to the Sashimi and sushi that the store takes pride in, there is standard “izakaya food” like Tempura, fried food, sauteed food, and food on a stick, as well as steak, salad, and ramen. You can also enjoy Okinawan food like Goya Chanpuru (bitter melon stir fry with tofu and egg).
The store recommends its sashimi plate, mussels baked in sea urchin sauce (a Kincho specialty), chopped steak, and the secret menu, Ramen salad in the style of squid-flavored Okonomiyaki. There are dishes with which you can enjoy the natural flavor of the ingredients and dishes with which you can enjoy the combinations of various ingredients. The rich variety makes the store great to enjoy dining at with a large group of people. The drink menu is complete with everything from Awamori, Beer, Japanese Sake, and shochu highball.
