Located right at the end, when you walk straight from Camp Hansen Gate 1 through Shinkaichi. Go through a neon arch that reads, “Welcome to Shangrila,” to reach “CLUB SHANGRILA.” The club, established in 1976, offers a pool bar on the 1st floor and a dance club in the basement.

The entry is free, with 1 drink minimum, for both pool bar and dance club. You can use Japanese Yen, U.S. dollar, and a variety of credit cards.

There are pool and beer pong tables in the basement as well, but if you are looking to enjoy a conversation, head up to the bar area on the 1st floor.

90% of the patrons are foreigners. It is exciting, like you have come to a club in a foreign country. The foreigners really know how to party! When we were taking pictures, they all voluntarily smiled and posed for the camera!

Hip-hop, R&B, Rap, House, Salsa, and other popular music are playing at the dance club in the basement of SHANGRILA, the only dance club in Shinkaichi.

Every month, Friday after payday on the 1st and 15th, around 10pm is the busiest time. If you want to experience the craziest time, you want to be here during then! Unlike shy Japanese people, foreigners have powerful and cool dance moves.
